Larry’s Love Story.

Last year, Larry the Lobster captured hearts (and Instagram feeds) from his lofty rooftop perch at DYRSL. But what no one knew was that once the season wrapped, our crimson Casanova slipped off the roof and back into the waves on a quest for true love.

His journey took him across the Northern Beaches. He rode the hull of the Manly Ferry, waved at commuters, clutched onto the B1 bus as it rumbled past local shops, and even built up his fitness with a few Bold & Beautiful Manly to Shelly swims.

It was near the surfers at Avalon Beach where he spotted her, his dazzling Lady Lobster. Sparks flew instantly, and soon the pair were inseparable, spending their days surfing side by side, racing through the waves, challenging each other at Zone Bowling, and sharing late night chats under the stars. Larry knew he’d finally found “the one”.

Before long, their love grew, claws clasped, and the couple welcomed three adorable baby lobsters.

They’ve been practising their rooftop poses all month, ready to join Dad for February’s Love, Lobster promotion.

As for Mum? She’s happily staying in Avalon. The trip down to Dee Why was just a little too far from her cosy rockpool home, and she prefers her mornings with a sunrise swim and seaweed smoothies over rooftop publicity. She’s sending her love from afar while Larry introduces the next generation to Dee Why.

So keep an eye out this February for Larry, Lorenzo, Loretta, and Pinchy on the DYRSL rooftop. Expect a bit of charm, a few laughs, and just enough mischief to keep things interesting.
