29 May Dee Why Kindergarten Easter Spectacular Performance
Recently, a selection of students from Dee Why Kindergarten’s Whales Room visited Oceangrove residents in what was their inaugural Easter Spectacular performance.
The second visit to Oceangrove and again dressed in their distinctive high-vis orange vests, the class of 4 to 5 year olds delighted residents by singing four festive songs with well rehearsed, choreographed dance moves. Oceangrove Concierge, Karen Nel and the residents described the Easter Spectacular visit as, “delightful, heart-warming, lots of fun and very entertaining.”
Hand-decorated Easter bunny shaped cards and baskets accompanied the students to Oceangrove in preparation for an afternoon of arts and crafts.
Following their dance routine, Whales Room students enthusiastically issued their cards to the delighted residents, sitting alongside them to decorate straw Easter baskets. Residents kept their vibrantly crafted baskets as keepsakes and have since displayed them in their apartments.
In what evoked childhood memories of Easter Egg hunts, colourful crafts and time with family and friends, Dee Why Kindergarten’s visit was warmly welcomed and loved by all the residents.
“Many of the residents are mothers or have families of their own, so they absolutely loved having the children to interact with and share stories in what was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon” Karen went on to add.
Thank you to Dee Why Kindergarten for creating magical memories and we look forward to keeping you updated with the next Kindergarten visit to Oceangrove.
