School Scholarship Program.
DYRSL is proud to announce the 2027 School Scholarship Program, open to local students going into year 12 for the 2027 year of study. A total of fifteen students will receive $2,000 each, to assist them in achieving their utmost potential while completing the Higher School Certificate.
In addition to students who exhibit academic excellence, these scholarships also provide opportunities to students who demonstrate that they have the drive and determination to achieve academically despite financial constraints, along with a passion/proven contribution to community and involvement in extracurricular activities. Students can opt to be assessed on their academic performance and/or financial need.

Eligibility Criteria
Students must be:
• In year 12 for the year of 2027
• Studying towards the Higher School Certificate and 19 years or under
• Parent, Guardian, Grandparent or Applicant (student) is a current member of Dee Why RSL
Assessment Criteria
Students are assessed on:
• Academic performance and/or economic need
• Contribution to school and community
• Displaying an interest in/participating in extracurricular activities
Key Dates
Applications open Monday 14 September 2026 at 9:00am
Applications must be received by Wednesday 4 November 2026 at 5:00pm
Judging period: Monday 9 – Friday 20 November 2026
Successful applicants notified by Friday 20 November 2026
Winners to be available for awards function: Monday 30 November 2026 from 6.30pm
Please have the following documents ready prior to submitting your application
• Letter from the school’s year advisor, current teacher or principal/deputy principal endorsing the student to receive funding must be submitted with this application They are required to give a brief report on the student’s academic performance and contribution to the school/community
• Most recent Year 11 Report: Must be submitted with this application
• Any other relevant awards/information that you would like to upload
DYRSL’s Board of Directors will assess all applications. Their decisions will be final.
