Dee Why RSL Awards Fourteen Local Students with $20,000 in Scholarships
The future of our Northern Beaches is in good hands, if the calibre of applications received from local HSC students for the annual Dee Why RSL School Scholarship Program are anything to go by. Fourteen high school students from across the Northern Beaches were selected to receive $1,400 each in scholarships at a presentation night in December at the Club.
The School Scholarship Program is now in its 6th year, and has again delivered a total of $20,000 in scholarships to assist with educational expenses for those studying for the Higher School Certificate in 2019. Applicants were assessed on a range of criteria, including their academic performance and/or economic need, contribution to school and community, as well as evidence of displaying an interest in and participating in extracurricular activities.
