What do you enjoy about working at DYRSL?

Having friendly conversations with both customers and fellow staff members.

What is something exciting happening in your life right now?

I’m in the midst of planning an exciting overseas trip.

Describe ‘a day in the life’ working at DYRSL in your current position.

I spend my day behind the bar at Battery House, serving our members with fresh beers and drinks. Since I mainly work day shifts, a key aspect of my role is preparing the bar for the bustling activities ahead, ensuring it’s ready for both day and night operations.

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?

Personally, I’m drawn to Antarctica, not just for its isolation, but also for the amazing wildlife.

How would your friends describe you?

I believe they would say that I am kind and generous.

I served for 21 years as an Anti-Submarine Aircraft Controller in the Navy.

What are some of your personal goals this year?

Continue to live a healthy and happy life.

What are some of your hobbies outside of work?

During my free time, I enjoy going for jogs and extended walks with my partner.

Favourite book / movie?

My favourite movie is the thriller Seven.

Favourite Drink?

A good Gin!

What is your go-to meal here?

I love the Spaghetti Marinara from Aqua.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grow up?

I wanted to be a Marine Biologist.

If you were to give your younger self some advice, what would it be?

Live life to the fullest.

What do you love doing the most in your work?

I love interacting with customers. It’s not just about transactions; it’s about creating connections and making their experiences memorable.
