Cheers to Celebrating 5 Years Lyndall.

Bingo master and Cash Housie caller extraordinaire, if you’ve visited the RSL over the last 5 years, chances are you’ve seen Lyndall’s face.

Always smiling and delivering the fun and games to our members and guests, as Lyndall celebrates her 5 year anniversary with us, we thought it fitting to catch up with her over a handful of questions.

Read on to find out a little more about Lyndall and her time with us.

What do you enjoy about working at the RSL?
I really enjoy meeting new people.

With my position in promotions (and previously in reception), there’s never a shortage of new faces and I’ve been pretty lucky to meet quite a few while working here.

How have you seen the RSL change over the last five years?
The RSL has had some huge changes, especially with the current redevelopment. It’s been great to see it all happen from the beginning through to where it is now – and it hasn’t finished yet either! I can’t wait to see the finished product.

I’ve also seen a change surrounding Covid-19 and how the RSL has adapted to maintaining patron and staff health and safety as priority number one.

What is a stand out fond memory for you?
Probably going to the INXS or Queen shows with friends and work colleagues.

Describe a day in the life in your current position.
I’m in the promotions team so a day in the life would consist of calling bingo and cash housie while having a laugh with customers. I’d say that’s a pretty good day.

It’s nice when new customers tell us how much they’ve enjoyed themselves.

I’m also pretty lucky to have a very approachable boss and I work with some great team members too. It makes it easy to come to work when you have good people around you.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
Probably to time travel or have psychic abilities

What is the weirdest fact you know?
Wombats have square poo.

Tell us something we don’t know about you?
I’ve never moved out of home. My grandparents built it and I’m now bringing my own family up in the same house.
