Cheers to Celebrating 5 Years Harry.

Fitness fanatic and Bistro Supervisor, if you’ve visited the RSL over the last 5 years, chances are you’ve seen Harry’s warm and friendly face.

Always ensuring everyone has a good time in Bistro, as Harry celebrates his 5 year anniversary with us, we thought it fitting to catch up with him over a handful of questions.

Read on to find out a little more about Harry and his time with us.

What in particular do you enjoy about working at the RSL?

All the other staff that work here. Creating new friendships and making connections that can last a lifetime.

Describe ‘a day in the life’ working at DYRSL in your current position.

I start my day by heading to the gym to sweat it out and get myself into a good mood. I then have my two coffees so I am ready for my day/night split shift as the Bistro Supervisor. Always moving around the Bistro ensuring everything is in its place for its smooth operation, assisting the staff when needed and doing my best ensuring everyone has a good time.

What is a fond/funny/stand-out memory of your time here?

I don’t know where to start to be fair – there is way too many… But if it had to be anything, it would have to be few years back, arriving when it’s still slightly dark out in the early hours of the morning and leaving late at night when it was dark out. I don’t think I saw the sun that day. It was a very long shift that day!

What is something exciting happening in your life right now?

Finally seeing some very nice definition from pushing my body to its limit/until failure at the gym 5-6 days a week at the gym. Very passionate about transforming my body, seeing what my genetics are capable of.

If you could have one super-power, what would it be?

I would want the ability of Shapeshifting if I could have any superpower, it would be quite fun!

What is the weirdest fact you know?

Apparently sloths can hold their breaths longer than dolphins!

Tell us something we don’t know about you.

When I was younger was hit in the back of the head by a golf club, I was day dreaming and did not feel it strangely enough. Few stitches and towelled up. Good as new.

What is your go-to meal here?

Depends on the day for my go to meal. If it’s not Friday or Saturday, I normally get the Chicken Hawaiian Schnitzel from Bistro. And on the Friday/Saturday get Southern Style Chicken Burger from Battery House.
