Congratulations on 20 years. Well done Roland.

If you’ve visited the Club within the last 20 years, chances are you’ve encountered Roland. A friendly and kind character, Roland has dedicated 20 years to serving our guests some delicious meals at our Bistro.

As Roland celebrates his 20 years of employment, we took some time to take a look at his journey. Read on to find out a little more about Roland and his time with us.

What in particular do you enjoy about working at DYRSL?

My favourite thing about my job is the opportunity to work alongside great staff and customers. I also like the familiarity of DYRSL, feels like home.

Describe ‘a day in the life’ working at DYRSL in your current position.

I come to work to help arrange and prepare the food at Bistro, making sure it’s all good and delicious. I then serve our friendly customers, seeing some familiar and new faces everyday. And depending on whether I work at night, I do it again!

What is a fond/funny/stand-out memory of your time here?

I have so many good memories from the past 20 years, the whole time has been amazing and I wouldn’t change it for anything.

How would your friends describe you?

Kind, helpful and loyal.

What is something exciting happening in your life right now?

I can’t believe I have been working at the RSL for 20 years!

If you could have one super-power, what would it be?

To be invisible.

I love the Roast Pork from Bistro or Crispy Chicken from Taste of Asia.
