Cheers to Celebrating 10 Years Sean.

If you’ve visited DYRSL over the last 10 years, chances are you have tasted Sean’s delicious cooking.

Always ensuring food is perfectly cooked in our kitchens, as Sean celebrates his 10 year anniversary with us, we thought it fitting to catch up with him over a handful of questions.

Read on to find out a little more about Sean and his time with us.

What in particular do you enjoy about working at DYRSL?

How friendly of an working atmosphere it is! Working with friends and having a good work environment is so important.

Describe ‘a day in the life’ working at DYRSL in your current position.

I start my day by prepping the food in the kitchen most mornings. I start early and sanitise everything then get to work. Once all the food is prepped and cooked to perfection for the day, I set everything up for lunch service then wait for orders to come in!

What is a fond/funny/stand-out memory of your time here?

Watching the NRL in Battery House with my work friends.

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?

I would love to go back to hometown in Hong Kong.

What are some of your personal goals this year?

I really want to save up and go travelling!

If you were to give your younger self some advice, what would it be?

Life is not easy but dreams keep you alive.

How would your colleagues describe you?

My work friends would describe me as cheeky and funny, sometimes a bit mischievous.

Who is your hero?

I really admire my boss, Scott Drinkwater.

Do you collect anything / have any strange hobbies?

I used to collect cards.

Favourite book/movie?

I love all the James Bond movies but my favourite one is the one from 1971, ‘Diamonds are Forever’.

What is your favourite drink?

Anything light beer!

What is your go-to meal here?

I love the Hawaiian Chicken from the Bistro.
