What do you love doing the most in your work?

Honestly, the best thing about my work is being a part of Oceangrove. The connections I’ve made with residents and their families over the years are priceless. Every day brings something new and exciting, and I love being there for the laughs, chats, and making a positive impact on their lives.

What is something exciting happening in your life right now?

I just got back from an epic trip to India with my brother! It was one of those bucket list adventures, and we had a blast!

What is a fond/funny/stand-out memory of your time here.

There are so many memorable moments, but the ones that really stick out are the staff leaving parties. They were a mix of sentimental goodbyes and hilarious shenanigans. And let’s not forget the staff Christmas parties—those were absolute legends, filled with laughter and good times!

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?

If I had a magic teleporter, I’d zap myself right back to India. Seriously, that place is mind-blowing! The vibrant culture, stunning sights, and incredible food make it an amazing destination that never fails to leave me in awe.

What is the weirdest fact you know?

Here’s a quirky one for you: flamingos are the oddballs of the bird world because they bend their legs at the ankle, not the knee like most other birds. It’s like they have their own little funky dance move going on!

How would your friends describe you?

Well, my friends would probably say I’m easy-going, always up for a good laugh and a good night out. They know I care about them and that I’m there for them whenever they need a friend to lean on.

 Favourite book/movie?

When it comes to movies, hands down, my ultimate favourite is Twister. It’s an action-packed adrenaline rush that never fails to get my heart racing.

As for books, I don’t have a single favourite, but I’m really into the captivating stories written by authors like Kate Mosse and Helen Phifer.

 Favourite Drink?

In the daytime, I can’t resist a good ol’ cup of steaming hot tea. It’s like a warm hug for my taste buds. But when the sun sets, it’s time to kick back and enjoy a nice, cold pint of Toohey’s New. It’s the perfect way to chill out and savour the evening.

Tell us something we don’t know about you…

Okay, brace yourself for this one—I have a secret fear of balloons! Yep, globophobia is real, and balloons are my kryptonite.

What is your go-to meal here?

Nothing beats a delicious Pad Thai from Tastes of Asia or a Buddha Bowl from Battery House. They’re my go-to meals that never disappoint.

What are some of your hobbies outside of work?

Honestly, with three little tornadoes of energy running around, I barely have time for hobbies! My main gig is making sure those kiddos are happy and taken care of.

What are some of your personal goals this year?

My main focus this year is to get fit!

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grow up?

Back in the day, I had big dreams of becoming a storm chaser and a paranormal investigator. I wanted to brave the wild storms and uncover spooky mysteries like a total badass!

If you were to give your younger self some advice, what would it be?

Be confident in who you are and never seek validation from others for your happiness or success. You’ve got everything you need within you to shine bright.

 Who is your hero?

Growing up, my hero was none other than John Nettles, aka DS Jim Bergerac. He was a detective on the Island of Jersey, and I was totally obsessed with his adventures. That guy was a legend in my eyes!
